For my first internship in my AOS B&P degree program, I worked at Umpleby's Bakery and Cafe in Hanover, NH. I was in charge of scaling and mixing all of our sandwich and sourdough breads everyday which include white, wheat, rye and every friday until October olive oil and rosemary. Every day I worked, I did a variety of tasks from tarts, meat pies, egg pies, cookies, cakes, to ganache and frangipane. The days sometimes were long but the time seemed to fly by and I am loved it there. Charles was pretty quiet but was very helpful and informative. He always seemed to catch something before things went wrong. I got pretty lucky with my internship site because I got the chance to experience everything and was exposed to new things everyday.
